Rain
pouring into the woods is stored in roots of trees and the soil. Part of the
rain evaporates and returns to the atmosphere, but most of it flows into rivers
and, with time, into the sea. Water in the sea vaporizes to become rain and
returns back to the forest. We enjoy the grace of water because of the perpetual
water cycle.
Our ancestors respected a mountain as a blessed place and tenderly protected
it. They well knew that the woods, cultivators of water, also are resources
to support the economy, industry and culture.
