A brief explanation of the menu in the photograph: local delicacies of Akita; hot pot of kiritanpo (rice dumpling) and deep-fried sand fish, and bean paste fries of akebi, creamed turnip, sliced raw horsemeat, baked salmon on a magnolia leaf (hoba) and small grilled char in hot sake (Iwana-no-kotsuzake).
