Open-air Bath with a Rustic Air

Doro-yu Hot Spring is a hot spring area which is proud of its history dating from 1200. It was recorded that an inn was established in 1680. Until a bus on a regular route and electricity came here in 1960, the inns were famous as the inns of lamps.

The rockwork open-air bath of Okuyama Ryokan inn offers an exciting and pleasant space. When soaking in the bath, natural expressions from each season can be felt while looking up at the sky. Bright sunshine, starlit skies, gloomy skies with flakes of snow ….. in any scene you can brim over with a feeling of satisfaction in your body. A roofed open-air bath with two bathtubs was made opposite the main housing across the road. This reproduces an atmosphere of an old countrified hot spring resort, and has a stone-made inner bath annex.

The surrounding area is remarkably wonderful in the seasons of fresh green and autumnal tints, and is the best as a base for mountain walking. Kawarage Oyu-taki, a natural open-air bath, is also situated near the inn (Click to more).
