Resting at an Inn in the Woods
Masuda-machi once prospered as a market town along a highway. It is a compact town with a population of a little less than 10,000, and is famous for its apples. Local industry has centered on constructing hot spring facilities, etc. in recent years.

Pleasant guest room

Large bath using marble
like stone
The recreation facility “Sawarabi”, opened in 2000, is a gorgeous building which cannot be imagined from the surrounding mountainous scenery. One bath is large and is basically stone, and a medium size bath uses hinoki cypress. A sauna and an open-air bath are attached to each. The small sized family bath entirely made of hinoki cypress is also comfortable.

All guest rooms are perfect especially for their spacious arrangements. Since there is also a conference room and a grand hall, it can support activities other than recreation or sightseeing. Various "catfish " dishes are the specialty of this inn. The catfish are cultivated in the nearby nursery.
