Most Popular Inn in Tohoku | |
---|---|
In the Nyuto Hot Spring area, Tsuru-no-yu Hot Spring is isolated from other hot springs and is nestled in the mountains. Visitors, therefore, did not come as much as they do today, but there were some fans. Now, the popularity is such that the all rooms are reserved half a year before for viewing autumnal leaves. Visitors gather from all over the country and there is also much coverage by the mass media. | |

The staff see to it that their services, including meals, are done well, to say nothing about the bathes. I think this is one of the best hot springs in Akita and has a fantastic atmosphere. There is more than sufficient reason to attract visitors. |

There is a story about a feudal
lord of the Akita clan coming to the hot-spring cure. The hot spring was
developed at the expense of the clan. The thatched building still used
now was the lodging of the samurai guards. There are various bathes including three open-air bathes. The nature of the hot springs differ, respectively. You can choose a bath as your favorite or for the medicinal benefit. This inn features “Yama-no-imo” nabe, a Yam-pot dish created from local dishes. Moreover, charcoal grilled chars on skewers are also popular among the guests sitting around the fire. |
