Hotel Reflects the Hostess' s Personable Character |
Although there were 21 hotels and inns in the golden age, there are nine now. I visited Hotel Senpa. The 80 year-old hotel is very ordinary and bare of extravagant ornaments. The hostess, Ms Eiko Mikami, kindly serves you and more than covers all your needs. I do not know if this is the reason or not, but they have an overwhelmingly number of regular visitors. |

Eiko herself cooks for the visitors. She says that she is good at "country dishes" such as pot cooked dishes including kiritanpo, sandfish with soybean paste, broiled sweet fish with salt and homemade pickles, and she appears to be taking it easy. |
